The Sweet Double Delight….

January 15, 2009

Now…..this particular one was suggested by your’s truely. The idea just came up when I saw the two ingredients ona small plate. So Aunty Midah rolled out the dough and put BOTH the Kaya paste and the Red Bean paste side by side. It already looks delicious!

...a few sweet things goes a long way...

Double the sweetness...double the goodness...!! to me at least...YUMx2..!!

After rolling in the Kaya and Red Bean paste Aunty Midah got up and went to the fridge again. She cracked one egg and mixed it both. It’s another type of glaze. What?!?! Even the glazing is different?!?! I’m no expert, I only know how to eat. But earlier one there’s already a home made one and it’s right there on the table. Aunty Midah has been doing this for 20 plus years as a hobby. So I’m not going to argue with her.

no...not the other glaze...it's the another other type home made glaze..!!

Bank at the round marble table, she run the knife through the top of the dough a few times to give tasters a clue of what’s inside. Then the glazing ceremony begins!

After which, she sprinkled a type of what she called sweet cereals on top. I personally never see this kind before but it’s nice. It’s very light, you don’t feel anything on your mouth with just one. You have to chew a spoonfull to notice it!

I can't wait to taste this!

Next time, I’ll share about the Polo Bun with Blueberry Jam topping! So keep checking out this site for updates on the latest of Aunty Midah’s Pastry!
