Pastry in the making

finally, I get to see the whole process from dough to pastry! I’m no expert, but those are a lot of ingredients on the round marble table that evening. Some 40gm dough and yeast and cheese and home made mayonaise and some eggs and home made coffee paste and carrots and kaya paste and red bean paste and some good ‘ol chilli sauce as well as blueberry jam!

Then Aunty Midah gets to work. I noticed that she arranged the ingredients in such a way that it’s all within reach. She mentioned that she likes to see all the ingrdients in place before rolling out the dough. So this is what it means by preparing it for you loved ones. You have to enjoy preparing it in the first place!
